Su böreği, or water borek, is one of the most popular types of borek. Hand rolled sheets of thin flaky dough, known as yufka, are boiled in water and layered with white cheese. They are then brushed with butter and baked to a beautiful golden color. Borek is best served warm by lightly toasting it, and accompanied by a hot cup of chai or cool yogurt drink.
