Sari Burma, meaning “Golden Twists”, is a type of baklava.
The name “Sarı” comes from the appearance of the dessert, which usually resembles a golden yellow color due to the effect of the syrup on it.
“Burma” refers to the way the dessert is prepared; the yufka is rolled out thinly and rolled up, creating the characteristic shape of the dessert.
In other words, the terms “sari” and “burma” reflect the color of the dessert and the technique of preparation.
